Outline
The IED has the monitoring function to measure the number of power quantities and statistics
data obtained at the VCT and BI circuits†. When the monitoring function begins to measure
the power quantities, the IED will have mathematical data so that data, such as primary,
secondary voltages etc. The data will be displayed on the LCD screen.

The user can examine the values provided by the metering function on LCD screen; Figure
9.2-1 illustrates the current information. One reference phasor is defined to examine a complex
data in the metering and a positive-sequence voltage (V1) is defined as the reference. The
