Configuring the base station

Activating the waiting melody

You can only configure the waiting melody, if the enquiry connection has
i
been activated in the base station. If the call is held in the network, the
caller will hear your network provider's standard announcement.
ì
Double-click Configuration in Folder List.
This displays the dialogues available.
ì
Click Base settings.
The corresponding tabs are then displayed.
ì
Open the Music on hold tab.
ì
Define which waiting melody is to be played when a call is held in the base station:
– Activate the Off option if you do not want any waiting melody.
– Activate the Internal (from the base) option if you want to use the base station
waiting melody.
– Activate the External (via analogue terminal) option to play the waiting melody
from an external device on an analogue connection.
The External option is only available if an adapter for playing music has
i
been connected to an analogue connection and is registered with the
device type Music on hold.
ì
Click Apply.
The new settings will be sent to the base station.
