Recommended editing sequence

1. Enter your telephone numbers with the names in the central directory:
– Create new numbers directly on the PC.
– You can either transfer existing directories from a handset or import them from a
file stored on your PC.
2. Check the entries in the central directory for their correctness and validity.
3. Copy the directory entries you want or the entire central directory to a handset map-
ping. Bear in mind the limited storage capacity of a handset directory.
4. Make any adjustments to the names of the copied entries.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other handset directories if the handsets are to have dif-
ferent directories.
or
Copy the directory of the first handset to the mappings of other handsets if they are
to have the same directories.
6. Send the mappings to the corresponding handsets so that the updated directories
are ready to be used.
7. From now on, enter new or modified entries only in the central directory to simplify
the workload for managing your directories.
8. Repeat steps 2 – 7 at regular intervals so that your directories are always up to date.
