Preparing the base station

Read the operating instructions for your base station.

Connect your base station.
– Connect your base station to the ISDN line or PABX using an ISDN cable.
– Connect the base station to the power supply using the mains adapter.
– Insert the USB cable in the base station and place the other end of the USB cable
near the PC.
ì
Do not insert the USB cable in the PC yet.

During installation, you will be prompted by the talk&surf wizard to set up
this connection.
Your base station is now ready for use.
Now that your base station is ready for use, you can make external calls
and also take incoming calls. You do not need to install talk&surf for this.
ì
You can check that your base station is working properly by dialling an
external telephone number.
ì
Check your ISDN connection or the settings of your PABX if the call
does not work.

You will find a detailed description for this in the operating instruc-
tions of your ISDN line or PABX.
Gigaset SX2x5isdn
To make calls, you will also have to register the supplied handset with the
base station.
You will find a detailed description of the registration procedure in the
handset's operating instructions.
