3. To retrieve patient data previously entered (for a previous patient or a
pre-registered patient):
Note: Use an asterisk (*) to indicate partially known values. For example, to search
for the last name "Miller," you can enter "Mil*" or "*ler" in the Patient Name field.
a. Use the keyboard to enter known information (if any) in the
PATIENT section of the form.
b. Select Search on the lower right of the form.
The system displays the Patient Search dialog box and lists
matching patient data.
Note: The system searches the locations configured in the system presets.
c. Select a patient and then select the OK button on the lower left of
the Patient Search dialog box.
The system populates the fields of the Patient Registration form
with the data for the selected patient.
4. Use the keyboard to enter or edit information in the PATIENT section
and INSTITUTION section of the form.
Note: The patient name (Last Name, First Name, and Middle Name combined) is
limited to 60 characters.
5. Select a transducer and study type from the EXAM section of the form.
6. For OB or GYN examinations, select OB or GYN from the Study field
(drop-down menu), and then enter clinical-specific data into the
HISTORY section.
7. To pre-register the patient (store the registration data in the Scheduler):
a. Select Preregister at the bottom of the Patient Registration form.
The system stores the entered registration data in the Scheduler
and clears entries in the Patient Registration form.
b. To pre-register another patient, enter the required registration data
and then select Preregister at the bottom of the
Patient Registration form.
c. Select the Cancel button at the bottom of the form to exit the
Patient Registration form.
The system removes the Patient Registration form from the
screen and displays the Image task card.
