2.3.2 Changing the Mechanical Ends of Axis 3

When the robot is shipped from the factory, software limits and mechanical stoppers
are preset so that the Z stroke of Axis 3 satisfies the range from 0 to 120 mm.
Fig. 2.19 shows the settings of mechanical ends when the robot is shipped from the
factory.
Upper limit mechanical stopper
If the coordinates of Axis 3 are moved
to the position of "-5 mm," the upper
limit mechanical stopper and the pulley
will make contact.
If the coordinates of Axis 3 are moved to the
position of "125 mm," the lower limit
mechanical stopper and the spline nut will
make contact.
