MULTIPLEXER OPERATION

[C] Operating cameras using the multiplexer

You can use a multiplexer that is equipped with a matrix switching function to operate cameras that are connected to the multiplexer.
Use the procedure outlined below to operate the multiplexers.
Operating procedure

Press the INDIVIDUAL button.

Press the MODE button to change the displayed device to " MX" .

Enter the address with the numeric keypad.

Press the ENTER button to check the address status.

Press the CAM/MPX button.

Operation switches to camera control mode, indicated by the appearance of
"C" after the address. Currently selected monitor and camera numbers also
appear.

Pressing the CAM/MPX button again will return operation to multiplexer
control mode, and the "C" after the address will disappear.
Note: The initial setting for the spot monitor is the automatic switching display (SEQ). In a case of camera control by spot monitor,
please specify the camera channel that is to be controlled by the spot monitor. Similarly, in a case of camera control by main
monitor, please use single screen display for the camera channel that is to be controlled.
When operating in camera control mode, one of the following screens may be
displayed, depending on the camera selected.
[A] If a camera not manufactured by Sanyo is selected (

[C] If camera control permission is refused (

Remotely operate cameras with the CAMERA command buttons.

For an explanation of the camera command buttons, refer to the Command
button operation list on page 30 of the Camera Operation section. (
Note: When using camera control with the main monitor selected, pressing MULTIPLEXER command buttons MULTI, QUAD,
PLUS, SEQ, or VCR will switch the display to those corresponding functions. While you can resume control of the camera
control under any of those conditions, you cannot press the CAM/MPX button to switch to multiplexer mode then return to
camera control mode by pressing the CAM/MPX a second time. In such cases, press the FULL button and reset the camera.
Follow the same procedure to reset after switching to live image mode from VCR recording mode.
When controlling the camera with a spot monitor selected, only the SEQ button will function in the manner described above.
