3-10 Setting Up Your Server

MAKING CONNECTIONS

Connect peripheral devices to the server.
IMPORTANT:
Contact the maintenance engineer in your service representative if
you have any requests on the system configuration including the
connection of the Blade Assembly Unit to the uninterruptible power
supply system or auto power controller and the time schedule
operation.
If you are installing the CPU blade in N8405-013F Blade Assembly
Unit, follow the instructions described in the User's Guide of the
Blade Assembly Unit.
Observe the following instructions to use the server safely. Failure to follow
these instructions may result in death or serious personal injury. See pages 1-2
t
o 1-6 for details.

Do not hold the power plug with your hands wet.
Do not connect ground wires to any gas tubes.
Do not plug the power cord in to an improper power source.
Do not connect the power cord to an outlet that has an illegal number of
connections.
Insert the power plug into the outlet as far as it goes.
Use the authorized power cord only.
Do not connect or disconnect any interface cable with the power cord of the
server plugged to a power source.
Do not use any unauthorized interface cable.
