Performing a RAID array rebuild

After replacing a hard disk drive that has been combined into a RAID array,
RAID rebuild will be performed completely unattended as a background
process.

CAUTION!
The system is now operational, however, data redundancy will not be
available until the RAID array rebuild is complete. Depending on the hard
disk drive capacity the overall process can take up to several hours, in
some cases even days.

You may notice a slight performance impact during rebuild.

Using the Chassis ID Prom Tool

System information like server name and model, housing type, serial number
and manufacturing data are stored in the BMC.
In order to integrate your system into the ServerView management environment
and to enable server installation using the ServerView Installation Manager,
system data needs to be complete and correct.
After replacing the PDB or HDD backplane, system information has to be
entered using the ChassisId_Prom Tool. The tool and further instructions are
available to maintenance personnel from the Fujitsu Technology Solutions
