Error Messages

Take the following actions if a message appears on the LCD panel.
GPIO interface error has been detected.
(Error code: 0704, 0705)
• Restart the device. If the problem persists, consult
the Canon Customer Service Center.
HDMI interface error has been detected.
(Error code: 0505)
• Restart the device. If the problem persists, consult
the Canon Customer Service Center.
IP address is invalid.
• The input IP address format is incorrect. Input the
correct IP address.
• The registered cameras cannot be swapped
because the IP addresses overlap within the same
group. Check the camera swapping settings.
No USB memory connected.
• There is no USB memory connected to the USB
terminal (front/rear).
• The rear USB terminal cannot be used when [PoE+
Restrictions] in the SYSTEM Menu is set to [Disable
Rear USB]. Use the front USB terminal.
Detecting USB memory...
• Wait until the USB memory is detected. If the
operation is not complete, format the USB memory
completely on a computer, or use a different USB
memory.
USB interface error has been detected.
(Error code: 0701)
• Restart the device. If the problem persists, consult
the Canon Customer Service Center.
Importing failed.
• Could not import device settings from the USB
memory. Check the USB memory.
Could not find a camera.
• Make sure that the power supply and LAN cable are
properly connected to the camera and the device.
Administrator name or password is invalid.
• Check the [Camera Connect. Details] tab >
[Administrator Name/User Name] and [Password]
settings (P. 65).
Could not find a camera in factory default state.
• The camera you are trying to register is not factory-
set. Connect/register from the [Camera Connection]
tab or [Camera Connect. Details] tab.
A system error has been detected.
(Error code: 0601, 0602, 0a01)
• Restart the device. If the problem persists, consult
the Canon Customer Service Center.
Cameras with a serial type connection cannot be
registered to Camera 6 onwards.
• A serial-connected camera was set as camera
number 6 or higher when swapping registered
cameras. Check the settings.
Setup failed.
• Settings for the device or the camera were not
performed correctly. Restart the camera and the
device.
Touch panel error has been detected.
(Error code: 0a03)
• Restart the device. If the problem persists, consult
the Canon Customer Service Center.
Number of registered cameras has reached the limit.
• The number of registered cameras reached 200.
Unregister unnecessary cameras, before registering
additional cameras.
Unsupported USB memory.
• Use a USB memory formatted with FAT32 or exFAT.
Firmware update failed.
• Make sure that the update file stored on the USB
memory is correct, then try again.
• Use a different USB memory and try again. If the
problem persists, consult the Canon Customer
Service Center.
Writing the file failed.
• Could not write to the USB memory. Check the USB
memory connected to the device.
Reading the file failed.
• Could not read from the USB memory. Check the
USB memory connected to the device.
Fan error has been detected.
(Error code: 0801, 0802)
• Restart the device. If the problem persists, consult
the Canon Customer Service Center.
Could not find an unregistered camera.
• Make sure that the power supply and LAN cable are
properly connected to the camera and the device.
