7. Remove the three screws at the rear of the chassis that secure the power supply assembly.

8. Press the retaining clip
Then, lift the power supply assembly out of the chassis.

9. Ensure that the new power supply assembly is the correct replacement.
10. Install the new power supply assembly into the chassis so that the screw holes in the power supply
assembly align with those in the chassis.
11. Install and tighten the three screws to secure the power supply assembly.
Note: Use only screws provided by Lenovo.
12. Reconnect the power supply assembly cables to the system board. See "Parts on the system board"
on page 34.
13. Reinstall the storage drive in the primary storage drive bay. See "Replacing the storage drive" on
page 85.
14. Reinstall the optical drive or the storage drive in the optical drive bay if you have removed any of them.
See "Replacing the optical drive" on page 82 or "Replacing the storage drive" on page 85.
