3-9-4. Density Adjustment (Thermal Head Voltage Adjustment)

1. Type the thermal head resistance value written down when replacing the thermal head in the edit box
of "Head Resistance" of the Setup tab, and then click the [SET] button.
2. Click the [ADJUST] button.
The head voltage setting value is calculated based on the thermal head resistance value and it is set to
this unit.
Here, the density adjustment is performed to some extent.
3. Select "STEP" from the drop-down list of "Test Pattern" of the Test Print tab.
4. Click the [PRINT] button of "Print".
The step pattern is printed.
5. Visually compare the density of the test print with that of the test print made before replacement in
each step.
When the density of the test print is different from that of test print made before replacement
(1) Click the [GET] button of "High Voltage" of the Setup tab.
The head voltage setting value is obtained.
(2) Change the obtained value by referring to the following, and then click the [SET] button.
The head voltage is adjusted.
. When the density is lower (lighter) than the reference sample: Increase the value.
. When the density is higher (darker) than the reference sample: Decrease the value.
(3) Print the step pattern according to steps 3 and 4.
(4) Visually compare the density of the test print with that of the test print made before replacement in
each step.
(5) Repeat steps (1) to (4) until the density of the test print becomes the same level as that of the test print
made before replacement.
