Note: When changing the Mapping field setting to Priority N, the
Default Priority setting is changed to N automatically.
Note: This field does not apply to ingress frames whose EtherType is
matching the selection made in the EtherType field. Those frames will
use the top priority "WAN" queues regardless of the Mapping field
setting.
Note: In ETHER-1000 systems where it is also required to ensure that
the top-priority queue in the "LAN" switches are solely used for
segregated "EtherType" traffic, ensure the following:
- Ports whose mapping priority is set for "7
to any ingressing "non-EtherType" traffic with source priority 7 or 6.
- Do not use the "Priority 6" setting.
Note: If EtherType filtering feature is used in mixed ETHER-1000 /
ETHER-100 systems, the following must be done in the ETHER-100
units to ensure that the top-priority queues in their "WAN" (and "LAN")
switches are solely used for "EtherType" traffic:
- Ports whose mapping priority is set to "No Change" must not be
exposed to any ingressing "non-EtherType" traffic with source
priority 7 (and 6).
- Mapping priority may and should be forced to "Priority 7" only on
ports dedicated to "EtherType" traffic.
- Do not use "0-7
Note: The P-Trunk and Q-Trunk ports used for tying traffic between
rings are usually set for Source Priority="Tag" and Mapping Priority=
"7
6".

Input Rate Limit

Input rate limiting can be applied to Ethernet traffic ingressing the selected port.
The user can define up to three sets of criteria (rules) that will specify the frames
to which rate limiting will be applied. Each set of criteria includes the specific
frame type(s) (unicast, multicast, broadcast) and source priorities. The frames
