transceivers are usually usable with multimode fibers but only for
limited distance range.
Distance
Displays the transceiver‟s typical maximum fiber span (in km).
λ
Displays the optical wavelength on the transceiver‟s output.
Connector
Displays the type of optical connector on the transceiver.
Temperature
Displays the SFP transceiver‟s internal temperature.
Alert/Alarm (°C)
Displays (from left to right):
- Low temperature alarm threshold
- Low temperature alert threshold
- High temperature alert threshold
- High temperature alert threshold
Output Power
Displays the estimated optical output level.
Note: When launched into mmf from an smf device the actual optic
level is approximately 3dB higher.
Laser Bias
Displays the laser bias current (the DC current that is currently driving
the laser in order to maintain the specified optical transmit level) as
reported by the SFP transceiver.
Receive Level
Displays the measured receive optical power level.
Alert/Alarm (dBm)
Displays (from left to right):
- Low receive optical level alarm threshold
- Low receive optical level alert threshold
- High receive optical level alert threshold
- High receive optical level alarm threshold
