Default Priority
Used as source priority for the frames carrying no source priority. Also
used as source priority for all ingressing frames if the priority for the
port is forced (see the Mapping field below). The default setting is 2.
Note: This field does not apply to ingress frames whose EtherType is
matching the selection made in the EtherType field.
Note: If the mapping priority for the port is forced (see the Mapping
field below), the Default Priority is forced to the same value and the
field is not configurable.
Source
Defines the source priority for frames ingressing the selected port.
May be set to:
Tag
IP
Tag, IP
IP, Tag
Note: This field does not apply to ingress frames whose EtherType is
matching the selection made in the EtherType field.
Note: If the mapping priority for the port is forced (see the Mapping
field below), the Source field is disabled and the value forced in the
Mapping field will be used as source priority for all ingressing frames
(except for those with the matching EtherType).
Mapping
Defines the priority that will be used for ingressing frames once they
are passed to the "WAN" switch (ETHER-1000 unit) so that the frames
can be assigned to the proper "WAN" priority queues throughout the
ETHER-1000 system. The mapping priority can be set to a specific
value (applied to all frames) or it can be based on individual frame
source priorities.
Specifically, the following options are available:
