Controls

Note: Refer to your engine owner's manual for complete
control information.
Parking Brake
Engage the parking brake to allow the machine to start.
To engage the parking brake
parking-brake lever. To disengage it, push the lever forward.

Steering Wheel
Turn the steering wheel
machine in the forward direction.
Turn the steering wheel counterclockwise to turn the machine
in the rearward direction.
Note: As the direction changes at the end of every run, you
will need to practice with the machine to become accustomed
to the steering.
The steering wheel controls the angle of the smoothing
rollers, which in turn steer the machine. The amount the
wheel can be turned is limited, so the turning circle of the
machine is large.
Tilt-Steering Pedal

To tilt the steering wheel toward you, press the foot pedal
(Figure
10) down, pull the steering tower toward you to the
most comfortable position, and release the pedal.
Motion Pedals
The foot-operated motion pedals
either side of the base of the steering wheel, control the
motion of the drive roller. The pedals are connected so that
they cannot both be pressed down at the same time, you can
press only 1 pedal at a time. If you press down the right pedal,
the machine moves to the right, and if you press down the left
