    Installing the Carrier Frame to the Traction Unit 1. Attach the carrier frame to the traction unit frame with the 4 cap screws (3/8 x 1-3/4 in.) and locknuts (3/8 in.). Note that the locknuts must be on the outside of the carrier frame.

  • Page 11 Check the cutter blades daily for sharpness, and for any wear or damage. File down any nicks and sharpen the blades as necessary. If a blade is damaged or worn, replace it immediately with a genuine TORO replacement blade.

  • Page 13 To ensure optimum performance and continued safety conformance of the machine, use genuine TORO replacement blades. Replacement blades made by other manufacturers may result in non-conformance with safety standards. Hold the blade end using a rag or thickly-padded glove.

    Installing the Blades 1. Install the blade and anti–scalp cup onto the spindle shaft (Fig. 15). Important The curved part of the blade must be pointing upward toward the inside of the mower to ensure proper cutting. 2. Install the lock washer and blade bolt (Fig. 15). Torque the blade bolt to 85–110 ft.-lb (115–149 N m).
