CONTROL ARM REMOVAL - REAR

UPPER CONTROL ARM
1. Elevate and safely support the front of the vehicle and
remove the wheels.

2. Remove fastener
holding upper control arm to
bearing carrier.
w
3. Remove fastener
connecting the upper control arm
to the chassis.
4. Examine control arm bushings and pivot tube.
Replace if worn. Discard hardware.
WARNING
The locking agent on the existing bolts was destroyed
during removal. DO NOT reuse old hardware. Serious
injury or death could result if fasteners come loose
during operation.
5. If not replacing the control arm, thoroughly clean the
control arm and pivot tube.

LOWER CONTROL ARM
1. Remove lower shock fastener
arm.
2. Remove the brake line mounting bracket
control arm.
3. Remove the stabilizer bar link fastener
