Note: Bearing life can be negatively affected by
improper wash down procedures. Do not wash down the
unit when it is still hot and avoid directing high-pressure
or high volume spray at the bearings or seals.
Servicing the Mower Deck
Gear Box Lubricant
The gear box is designed to operate with SAE 80-90 gear
lube. Although the gear box is shipped with lubricant
from the factory, check the level before operating the
cutting unit for the first time and every 150 operating
hours thereafter. Change the lubricant in the gear box
every 400 operating hours.

Service Interval: Every 150 hours
1. Position the machine and cutting unit on a level
surface.
2. Lower the mower deck to the 1 inch (2.5 cm)
height-of-cut.
3. Disengage the PTO, move the motion control levers
to the neutral locked position and set the parking
brake.
4. Move the throttle lever to the Slow position, stop the
engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving parts
to stop before leaving the operating position.
