3-4. Replacement of Periodic Replacement Part
3-4-6. Replacing the Guide Roller 35/16 and
Ball Bearing
The twelve guide roller 35/16 are used in this unit, and 24
ball bearings are used to the upper and lower sides of these
guide rollers.
The replacement procedures are the same.

. The Reference base assembly and 35GR height gauge
are used to adjust the height of the following guide roller
35s and 16s.
. GR1, GR2, GR3, S tension regulator guide
. GR8, GR9, GR10,T tension regulator guide
. The 35GR reference base assembly and 35GR height
gauge are used to adjust the height of the following
guide roller 35s and 16s.
. GR4, GR5, GR7
. The 35G height gauge is used to adjust the height of the
GR11 guide roller.

Removal
1. Removing the guide roller and ball bearing
(1) Remove the bearing retainer of the upper portion of
the guide roller.

Do not turn the setscrew of the upper portion of the
bearing retainer.

(2) Remove the guide roller and ball bearings of the upper
and lower sides of the guide roller.
Installation
2. Installing the guide roller and ball bearing
(1) Install the ball bearing, guide roller, and ball bearing to
the guide roller shaft in order.
(2) Install the bearing retainer.
3. Checking the guide roller height
Perform the guide roller height adjustment.
(Refer to Section 4-7.)
