User Manual
Open the container door a crack and check whether a fire has broken out in the container. If a
fire has broken out, close the door immediately and press the emergency start switch to put
out the fire. If there is no fire, go to
Step 6 Check whether the VESDA reports alarms and whether there is obvious smoke or
combustible in the container.
N => Rectify the fault by following the instructions in

Step 7 Use a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to spray the combustibles.
Step 8 Rapidly power off the devices in the smoke area or near the combustibles and switch off the
circuit breakers.
Step 9 After the fire alarm is cleared, report the event to the management department of the data
center and contact Huawei technical support.

Analyze the cause of the fault, and work out and record the preventive measures.
8.3 Composite Fire Alarm
Prerequisites
A composite fire alarm is generated in the data center.
The emergency operations described in this section are for reference only.
If a composite fire alarm is generated, determine whether to extinguish the fire or leave the
area immediately based on actual situation and contact the personnel on duty or local fire
station.
Procedure
Step 1 Locate the fire alarm area based on the alarm information.
Step 2 Go to the area with necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and communications
devices.
