Step 2 Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the cover of the emergency start/abort switch from the
base.
Step 3 Connect the cable to a new emergency start/abort switch using a Phillips screwdriver. Ensure
that the polarities of the cable are correct.
Step 4 Use a Phillips screwdriver to tighten the screws on the new emergency start/abort switch.
Step 5 Check that the emergency start/abort switch is working properly.

Follow-up Procedure
Send the faulty emergency start/abort switch together with a Repair Notice to your local
Huawei office for repair.
