Create a new text file in your laptop or PC and paste the copied public key contents into
this file.
Save the text file using one of following names (choose the name based on the account
type and on whether the keys will be added to or replace the existing keys on the device):
A_userkey.txt: A key with this name is appended (A) to the available Totalflow-
user public keys in the device. After the key update operation, the Totalflow-user
account can be accessed either by the newly created private key or the previous
set of private keys for the Totalflow-user account.
R_userkey.txt: A key with this name replaces (R) all the available Totalflow-user
public keys in the device. After the key update operation, the Totalflow-user
account can only be accessed by the newly created private key.
A_rootkey.txt: A key with this name is appended (A) to the available developer
and tech-support public keys in the device. After the key update operation, the
developer and tech-support accounts can be accessed either by the newly created
private key or the previous set of private keys for developer and tech-support
accounts.
R_rootkey.txt: A key with this name replaces (R) all the available developer and
tech-support public keys in the device. After the key update operation, the
developer and tech-support accounts can only be accessed by the newly created
private key.
The key generation is complete. There is a new private key stored in a key file with the ". ppk"
extension and a corresponding public key text file with one of the four specified names.

Update public keys on device
This procedure saves the new public key on the XSeries
or replaces an existing key. This procedure requires a TCP/IP-based connection with the device. Make
sure that the device has a valid IP configuration. The valid IP configuration depends on the type of
connection. You can use an Ethernet network or point-to-point connection for this procedure.
To save the public key:
Download and install the latest version of Filezilla from the link provided in section
Update
requirements.
Connect to the device's MMI or USB port.
