This chapter describes the IPX-S300B hardware.
2.1

Features

The IPX-S300B hardware has the following features.
Safety
Materials and components used in hardware are mechanically sturdy and satisfy
mechanical and electrical requirements for a communications system.

The hardware complies with industrial standards and has a stable and strong metal
plate welded assembly structure.

The hardware does not generate toxic gas or corrosive gas which may be harmful to
human health or affect system operation.

The hardware is made of materials with considerations for EMI (Electro-Magnetic
Interference) properties.

The hardware features a safety mechanism for protection from over-voltage.
Ease of Maintenance
The hardware is designed for easy and safe maintenance.

The hardware complies with the standard rack specifications for installation of units
that are 482.6 mm in width, and the rack is designed to maintain adequate strength.

External ports are provided on the front panel for easy connection of cables.

Status LED lights are provided on the front for the operator to easily identify system
failures and status.

The rear panel of the rack features a grounding hole.

The hardware is designed to protect the electronic components from external elements
during installation or maintenance.
