Note:
This process is available for the imagePRESS C800/C700 with the
imagePRESS Printer Kit or the imagePRESS Server attached.
This process is not to be confused with the process to back up or restore
RAM Data.
I.

Firmware Upgrade

1. Computer Requirements for Upgrading

The
specifications
CPU: Celeron 400 MHz or higher (32-bit processor only)
Memory: 512 MB of RAM or more
Free HDD Capacity: 1 GB or more of available hard disk space.
(Available disk size depends on the firmware in question and the size
of backup data.)
Access to e-Support via the internet: Firmware is available for
download from e-Support.
CD-ROM Drive with write capability (optional): A CD-ROM drive is
not required since the firmware can be downloaded from e-Support to
a PC. However, a copy of the firmware can be written to a CD for the
Dealer Library.
High-Speed USB 2.0 (recommended) or 1.1
Display: VGA 640 x 480 resolution or better, 256 colors or more
Operating System (any of the following):

Network connection: 10Base-T/100Base-TX, or a PCMCIA slot for an
Ethernet card
Download Tool: SST version 4.72 or later
Necessary Cables:
