4. To remove a storage drive from the storage drive bracket, see the relevant description in "3.5-inch
storage drive in the storage drive bay" on page 129, "2.5-inch storage drive in the storage drive bay" on
page 133, or "2.5-inch storage drive with a converter in the storage drive bay" on page 138.
5. To remove the blind-connect assembly, do the following:
a. Record the cable routing and cable connections. Then disconnect all cables of the blind-connect
assembly from the system board, the RAID adapter, and the BCA-to-SATA cable.
b. Press and hold the metal retainer
from the four tabs on the chassis.

c. Pull the blind-connect assembly completely out of the chassis and remove the cables through the
routing hole.
Note: Be careful when you pull the cables through the hole.
6. To install a storage drive in the optional storage drive bays, remove the storage drive bay cover if one is
installed.
