1. Rear cylinder
B. Grasp the cylinder rod close to the nut with a
pliers and rag and rotate the rod.
C. Raise the cutting units and check the clearance.
Repeat the procedure if required.
D. Tighten the clevis jam nut.
Important: Lack of clearance at the front stops or
rear wear bar could damage the lift arms.

Rear Ballast

No Parts Required
Procedure
The Groundsmaster 3505-D conforms to CEN standard
EN 836:1997 and ANSI standard B71.4-2004 standard
when 67 lbs. (30 kg) of calcium chloride ballast is added
to the rear wheel and weight, part no. 104-3965 is added
to the rear fork.
Important: If a puncture occurs in a tire with
calcium chloride, remove the machine from the turf
as quickly as possible. To prevent possible damage
to the turf, immediately soak the affected area with
water.

2. Reverse traction pedal
Traction Pedals
Press the traction forward pedal (Figure 15) to move
forward. Press traction reverse pedal (Figure 15) to
move backward or to assist in stopping when moving
forward. Also, allow the pedal to move or move it to the
neutral position to stop the machine.
Mow/Transport Slide
Using your heel, move the mow/transport slide
(Figure 15) to the left to transport and to the right to
mow. The cutting units will only operate in the mow
position.
Important: The mow speed is set at the factory to 6
MPH (9.7 km/h). It can be increased or decreased
by adjusting the speed stop screw (Figure 16).
