Note: When operating at 64 mm (2-1/2 inch) height
of cut or higher, the axle bolt should be installed in
the bottom castor fork hole to prevent grass buildup
between the wheel and the fork. When operating at
heights of cut lower than 64 mm (2-1/2 inch) and grass
buildup is detected, reverse the machines direction to
pull any clippings away from the wheel/fork area.
3. Remove the tensioning cap from the castor shaft
(Figure
24). and slide the shaft out of the castor arm.
Put 2 shims (3 mm [1/8 inch]) onto the castor shaft
as originally installed. Slide the appropriate number
of 1/2 inch spacers onto the shaft to get the desired
height-of-cut.
Note: The shim washers may be used in any
combination above or below the castor arm hub as
required to achieve the desired height of cut or deck
level.
