3.3. How to Use Your Fax as a Telephone Set

This machine can be used as a telephone set, in addition to a fax machine.

3.3.1. Making a Telephone Call

1. Check that the display is shown the Fax
screen.
If not, press the Copy/Fax key to switch.
2. Pick up the telephone and then the display
shown as right.
3. Using the dial keys on the telephone unit or the Numeric keys on the FAX,
enter the telephone number of the receiving party.
4. The telephone unit now operates as a normal
telephone.
Once the voice call is completed, hang up
the telephone.

3.3.2. Receiving a Telephone Call

1. When using as a telephone, the telephone
rings indicating that a call is coming in. Pick
up the telephone. Now you can talk to the
calling party over the phone.
NOTE:
2. Once a voice call has been completed, hang
up the telephone.
When you pick up the telephone with the machine in the Tel mode
and find that the call received is a fax communication press the Start
key.
