CHAPTER 2 BASIC OPERATIONS

2.3.4 Removing the Waste Paper

The waste paper from trimmed booklets is discharged by the waste paper removal fan mo-
tor (M108), and is collected in the waste paper box mounted to the bottom of the trimmer
assembly.

2.3.5 Controlling the Trimmer

Trimmer DC controller PCB
The upper blade is driven by the trimmer motor (M102). Normally, the upper blade is
held in wait in up position, and is monitored by the trimmer HP sensor (PS106) at all times.
M102 is driven by the trimmer driver PCB, and is controlled by the trimmer DC control-
ler PCB.
1. Operation
M102 starts to rotate clockwise as soon as pressing ends, making a single up/down trip,
causing the upper blade to move down to trim the booklet.
The home position of the upper blade is detected by PS106.
