Engineering Rules
GRE Tunnel Interface and VRF Engineering Rules
The following engineering rules apply to GRE tunnel interface and VRF contexts:
A maximum of 511 GRE tunnels are allowed to configure in a context but subject to maximum of 2048 GRE
tunnels per chassis.
A maximum of 100 virtual routing and forwarding tables are allowed to configure in a context but subject to a
maximum of 1024 VRFs per chassis.
A maximum of 10000 IP routes in Release 9.0 and 16384 IP routes in Release 10.0 onward are supported in a
VRF context configuration mode.
