If you need additional assistance;while in standby mode,pressthe ans. menu button
on the baseand follow the voice instructions.
Set Answering Machine ON/OFF
Upon initial power up and activation,the answering systemis in the ONmode.
1. Pressthe ans. menu button.Thesystem announces"Answerer 01t (or OFF)",
pressthe I_skip or 14repeat button to switch between ONand OFF.
NOTE:When the system is in OFF mode; the indicator displays OFF.
2. Pressthe ans. menu button to confirm your setting.
Day/Time
Theday/time codeon the answering machine is independentof the date/time shown
on the basedisplay.Youmust program the answering machine'sday/time in order to
havean accurate time for messagereceipt.
1. Pressthe ans. menu button repeatedly until the system announcesday and time.
2. Pressthe I_skip or 14repeat button to programthe Day.Asyou program, the
messageindicator displays'd' and a number,i to 7,representingthe day of the
week (1 representsMonday;2 representsTuesday,etc.).Press the ans. menu
button to confirm.
3. Press the I_skip or 14repeat button to program the Hour. Remember to program
am or pm correctly.
/4. Press the ans. menu button to confirm.
5. Pressthe I_skip or 14repeat button to programthe Hinutes.Toprogram the first
digit, the selectionis 0 through 5,as the minutesrange from O0to 59. Press the
ans. menu button. Next program the second digit, the choicesare 0 through 9.
6. Pressthe ans. menu button to confirm.
NOTE: If the main power to the base is lost, the message indicator
displays St. (Set time) to remind you adjust the clock when power is
restored.
