UsingIntercomwith External T elephone Calls
During atelephone call, y oumay use theintercom/paging function topage a nother
handset and have a noffline, private (two-way)intercom conversation. You may also
have a three-way conference between the external caller and thebase/handsets, or
you may transfer theexternal telephone call t oanother handset orthebase.
NOTE: Before youintercom/page another handset, youmust
decide whether y ouwanttocreatea two-way or a three-way
conversation.
Two-Way Calling
1. During a nexternal call, p ress thepage/intercom button o nthebase o rtheint
button o nthe cordless handset, and use thenumber keypad toenter thehandset
number you want t ocall.
NOTE: Thereceiving handset presses t he_ or _r buttonto
answer t he intercom call.Both intercom usersmayspeak privately.
The external c allerwillnot
hear the intercom conversation.
2. Whenfinished,the second handset hangs up to end the intercom call, and your
original telephoneconversation resumes.
Three Way Conference Call
After receiving an external call, it ispossibleto includea second handset in the
conversation.
1. During an external call, pressthe _, button or _r button of another cordless
handset to join call (If Base,pick up the corded handset from the baseor pressthe
_1) button).

call.
Call Transfer
Thefunction allows you to transfer an external call from the baseto a cordless
handset,or from a cordlesshandsetto the baseor another cordlesshandset.
1. During an external call, pressthe page/intercom button on the baseor int
button on the handsetto put the external call on hold.
2. Enterthe numberof the handsetthat you would liketo transfer the call to (0for
base, 1-/4for cordlesshandset).
3. Oncethe intercom is established.Youmay hang up to complete the call transfer.
NOTE:If the intercom is not answered in 1OOseconds, it cancels
and transfers the call back to the originating base or handset.
