Sorting the Contents of Folders
Choose one to sort the
contents of the current
folder.
You can arrange the contents of a folder in several ways: by name, the
date the last changes were made, the date it was created, or by size.
" To sort the contents of folders:
1. Open a folder.
2. Choose Sort By from the View menu. The submenu on the left appears,
listing a variety of sort options.
3. Choose a sort option (by clicking on the diamond next to your
selection):
S
Name. This sorts the contents of the folder alphabetically by the
entire DOS name.
S
Modification Date and Time. This sorts the contents of the
folder by date and time of last modification in reverse
chronological order.
S
Creation Date and Time. This sorts by date and time of creation
in reverse chronological order.
S
Size. This sorts the contents of the folder in ascending size, with
folders first, then individual files. The contents of the folder appear
in the new sort order.
