When reassembling the door, the door lock
should be in place for proper alignment of
the door locating pin with the locating
socket.
Loading Door Glass and Door Gasket:
The door glass in held in place by the door
gasket. On the larger MFS models the glass
may be held in place with the door gasket,
clamps on the inside and retainer ring on the
outside.
On the smaller MFS model machines the
door gasket is held in place in the door rim
by tension. It is forced over the lip of the
door rim and the door glass is forced into a
groove in the gasket. On this type of mount-
ing a tension wire and spring are used
around the door gaskets to maintain seal
pressure against the shell front opening lip.
Manually opening the door:
Remove power and lock out all power from
the machine before attempting to open the
door manually.
CAUTION
• Never open the door with water in the
machine.
" Never open the door until the drum is
completely stopped.
MFS25, 35, and 50 models:
Insert a small screwdriver (blade length
should exceed 3 inches) into the hole located
in the lower left side of the door lock assem-
bly and push upwards. This action will lift
the blocking bar inside the door lock assem-
bly and allow the door to be opened. See
Figure2-7.
MFS75/80, MFS90/100, and MFS125 models:
Remove the Phillips screw from the center of
the door lock assembly and insert a small
screwdriver (blade length should exceed 1-1/
2 inch) into the hole and push. This will
release the locking mechanism and allow the
door to be opened. See Figure 2-8.
Replace the screw in the center of the door
lock assembly.
