FF-SPS4 access control systems
The complete system is preadjusted on delivery to reduce time spent on the installation. Use
the following procedure for correct installation :
1. Each column is delivered with a drilling and positioning gauge which indicates the central
position of a swivel (M6 screw plug provided with the column) and the position of 4 fixing
holes located at each corner of the base plate (fixing screws are not provided with the
column).
• Draw a line on the ground to visualize the infrared beam path between the 2 columns.
Place the center of each gauge on each end of this line, and orientate the gauge
representing the column base plates according to this line.
Drill the ø 8 mm hole indicated on the center of each gauge and install the swivel for
each column. Drill the 4 fixing holes at each corner of the base plate. Place each
column on its swivel and roughly adjust their orientation according to the line.
2. Each column is delivered with 4 sets of adjusting wedges and HCM10-30 screws which must
be used to adjust the verticalness of the columns.
• Install wedges and screws on each corner of the column base plate, and use a
(magnetic) spirit level to adjust the verticalness of the columns. Each column must
be perpendicular to the ground, parallel to each other and in the same plane. To
achieve verticalness, use 3 screws for the adjustment and the 4th one for securing
the adjustment.
