12. Exciter field coil AC voltage
9 Disconnect the exciter field coil coupler.
9 Connect the pocket tester (AC 20 V) as
shown.
9 Start and run the engine.

9 Connect the pocket tester (W × 1) as
shown.
9 Measure the exciter field coil resistance.

46.5 W ± 10 %
OUT OF
SPECIFICATION
Replace the exciter field coil.
