11. Rotor remagnetization
9 Disconnect the exciter field coil coupler
(Black–White) at the end of the genera-
tor unit.
9 Start the engine (with no load).
9 Connect the DC 12 V battery to the sta-
tor side of the exciter field coil coupler,
battery - to coupler terminal (Black),
and battery + to coupler terminal
(White), for 2–5 seconds.
9 Remove the battery and reconnect the
exciter field coil coupler.
9 Recheck the main coil AC output voltage.

SPECIFICATION
No further action necessary.

Do not connect the battery for more than a
few seconds. This may deteriorate the bat-
tery.
Proceed to step 12.
