3. Starter motor
9 Connect the jumper lead to the starter
relay terminals on the battery side and
the starter motor side.

9 Check the starter motor operation.

9 Disconnect the engine switch connector.
9 Connect the jumper lead to the starter
relay connector.

9 Check the starter motor operation.

Replace the engine switch.

Check the battery.

Repair and/or charge the battery.
Repair and/or replace the starter motor.
WARNING
9 A wire that is used as a jumper lead
must have the equivalent capacity or
more as that of the battery lead, other-
wise the jumper lead may burn.
9 This check is likely to produce sparks,
so be sure that no flammable gas or
fluid is in the vicinity.
Replace the starter relay.
