Note: In the next step, the gears must prop-
erly mesh. It may be necessary to rock the
spindle back-and-forth by hand until the
gears mesh. Also, use one hand on the bot-
tom of the lever to apply sideways pressure
when moving it.

into the hole before continuing the operation.
