BEFORE START OF OPERATION
Inspection and reill of engine oil
Perform the following procedure, with the engine cooled downέ
●
Assure that the engine is on a lat horizontal surface and conirm if the oil level
●
is between the lower (1) and upper (β) limit of the oil indicatorέ
If the oil level is below the lower limit, remove the oil cap and add oilέ
●
The area surrounding the external marks is transparent, so the amount of oil
●
inside can be checked without having to remove the oil capέ ώowever, if oil
pipe becomes extremely dirty, visibility may be lost, and oil level will have to be
checked against stepped section on inside of oil pipeέ
You may need to reill oil approximately every 1ί operating hours (every 1ί
●
refuellings)έ
If the oil changes in color or mixes with dirt, replace it with new oneέ (όor the
interval and method of replacement, refer to P βγέ)
Recommended oilμ SAE 1ίWάγί oil of API Classiication, Class Sό or higher (ζάstroke engine for automobile)
Oil volumeμ
Approxέ ίέ1ίδ
NOTEμ
If the engine is not positioned as illustrated on a horizontal surface, an inaccurate indication of oil level may occur and oil may be overilledέ
●
όilling oil above the upper limit may cause oil contamination andήor white smokeέ
Replacement of oilμ "Oil cap"
Remove dust or dirt near the oil reill port, and detach the oil capέ
●
Keep the detached oil cap free of sand or dustέ τtherwise, any sand or dust adhering to the oil cap may cause irregular oil circulation or wear
●
on the engine parts, which will result in troublesέ
(1) Keep the engine level, and detach the oil capέ
(β) όill with oil to upper limit markέ
Use oil bottle when illingέ
(γ) Securely tighten the oil capέ Insuficient tightening may cause oil leakageέ
