K3: Compensation
5.4 Interpolatory compensation
5.4.4.2
Commissioning
Measuring the error or compensation values
Based on the procedure for the direction independent LEC (see"Compensation of leadscrew
errors and measuring system errors (Page 358)") for the direction-dependent LEC, the
direction-dependent error curve for each axis is determined using a suitable measuring
device (e.g. laser interferometer). To do this, an appropriate NC program with measurement
points and wait times must be generated (see the program "BI_SSFK_MESS_AX1_X.MPF"
in the "Example (Page 386)"). The software of the various measuring devices offers, in this
case, different support for the practical implementation with the SINUMERIK control. This is
the reason that this operation is only described here generally and for specific controls.
The leadscrew errors (= setpoint position - actual position) of the freely selected interpolation
points (measuring points) are assigned from the direction-dependent error curves.
The positive direction is obtained with increasing position values.
The measurement should only be performed when commissioning for the first time if the
traversing direction of the axes has already been adapted to the coordinate system of the
machine.
