4.6 (Optional) Steel Base Scenario

Tools: marker, ink line marker, long soft measuring tape, crane, socket wrench,
torque wrench, Phillips insulated torque screwdriver, jack, steel hoisting rope, level,
level gauge, hammer drill, angle ruler, claw hammer, vacuum cleaner
Materials: equipment to be hoisted, expansion bolt, angle steel bracket
Procedure
Step 1 Prepare a steel base.

Precautions
Ensure that the crane and steel ropes provide the required
bearing capacity.
Ensure that the doors of the equipment to be hoisted are
closed.
Ensure that the steel ropes are securely connected.
Ensure that the weather condition is good when the
equipment needs to be hoisted outdoors.
Ensure that the ambient wind speed is lower than 10 m/s.
Do not allow any unauthorized people to enter the
hazardous areas and never stand under the crane arm
during hoisting.
Ensure that the crane is properly located and avoid long-
distance hoisting.
Keep the equipment stable and horizontal during hoisting,
and ensure that the diagonal gradient of the equipment is
within 5 degrees.
Lift and land the equipment slowly to prevent shock to
devices inside it.
Remove the steel ropes after ensuring that the equipment is
placed evenly on the concrete platforms.
