6.1.5 E-mail Notification of System-level Events
Description
An e-mail can be sent to administrators or other specified e-mail addresses when certain system-level
events occur. Notifications can be sent for the following events:
Event
System alarm
Software update
Conditions
•
To send e-mail notifications, the SMTP server settings must be configured.
•
The system name in the e-mail notification can be configured through system programming.

6.1.6 Emergency Call
Description
An extension user can dial preprogrammed emergency numbers after seizing a CO line regardless of the
restrictions imposed on the extension.
Note
The number "911" is treated as an exception as follows:
•
Even if "911" is not registered as an emergency number, it can be dialed regardless of the restrictions
imposed on the extension.
•
Calls can be made to "911" without entering a CO Line Access number.

Notifications can be sent for the following four types of software update
events:
1.
A software update has become available on the update FTP
server.
2.
A software update has been downloaded from the update FTP
server.
3.
A software update has been successfully installed.
4.
A software license is about to expire.
