The main PLC (programmable logic controller)
contains the settings and logic to control different
systems of the EBM machine. For example, the
control of the vacuum pumping sequence, rake
movement and table movement.
The safety PLC and relay controls the machine in-
terlock logic is triggered by the door switches and/
or the light curtain or the emergency stop.
