page without the proper knowledge. This might lead to damages and/or reduced life time of the
cathode or machine hardware.

From the Power Supply panel the high voltage power supply is switched
on.
The sequence will ramp up filament (cathode) and high voltage current.
There are two progress bars, one for the high voltage and one for the
filament.
From the A A d d v v a a n n c c e e d d a a n n d d m m a a n n u u a a l l c c o o n n t t r r o o l l s s panel, the operator can man-
ually control the HV contactor, the cathode, the high voltage and the
beam current.
