12. Press S S t t a a r r t t to enable the Power Supply (high volt-
age unit).
The high voltage and cathode current will be
ramped up to operational levels.
13. Wait for the indicator to turn green.

All status indicators (located in the upper right panel) for all tabs must be green to be able to start
the machine.
14. Press S S t t a a r r t t to enable the build.
The start process dialogue appears. Start plate
heating is preselected and necessary when starting
a new build.
15. Press the G G r r e e e e n n t t i i c c k k to accept the start plate
heating.
16. After the system outgassing, remove the start plate
and cathode and put these aside for a possible fu-
ture use.
