Ethernet Address
Internet Address
1070 072 196-101 (00.06) GB
Each module has an impressed Ethernet address. This address is unique
worldwide, and should not be altered.
The Ethernet address consists of 6 address bytes and is constructed as fol-
lows:
Fixed Part [hex]
00
60
Modification of the Ethernet address is possible via the configuration file. All
6 address bytes can be overwritten.
.
Network problems resulting from such modification through e.g. dual
addressing, etc. are the responsibility of the user.
In order to reset the settings, press the reset button during switch-on.
The addressing of the module via Ethernet requires an Internet address (IP
address). At the moment, the Internet addresses consist of 4 bytes that are
normally specified in the octet notation (e.g. 142.2.26.142).
These IP addresses are given by the network administrator. In the environ-
ment of the connected LAN, the IP address may only exist once.
Normally, the IP address is entered, by means of WinSPS, in the SK table
(system coordinator table) of the SK500 and/or the ZS400, and is deter-
mined by COM-E from there. This guarantees that the IP address does not
migrate when the modules are changed.
To do so, the following firm- and software editions are required:
Module
WinSPS
SK500
SK510
ZS400
ZS401
In exceptional cases, the IP address can also be entered via a terminal at the
upper interface, compare with chapter 9 Ethernet Job Listing. This address
is then applicable as long as there is no suitable SK/ZS400 available.
.
The address setting via the system coordinator / central processing
unit (SK/ZS) has priority.
