Description
Select this option for the appliance to be automatically
configured using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol
(DHCP). Ensure that a valid DHCP server and address
leases are available. If DHCP was chosen, the IP address,
subnet mask, and default gateway will be automatically
configured.
Select this option to manually specify the IP address
information for the appliance. Each field must be entered
manually.
Enter an IP address without leading zeroes (for example:
"10.1.2.3").
Enter a subnet mask (for example: "255.0.0.0").
Enter the IP address of the default gateway used to access
other networks or subnets. This enables the appliance to
communicate with devices (such as printers and PCs) on
different subnets.
If a gateway is not available, or if the address of the
gateway is unknown, enter the same IP address used for the
appliance, or leave this field blank (or empty).
