Optional Network Board Driver

Most drivers are automatically installed.
If this is not the case:
■ either install the driver stored in the NEC ExpressBuilder using the oprocedure
described below,
■ or refer to the installation manual provided with the board, if applicable.

Installation of the Optional Network Board Driver

1. Start the Device Manager.
2. Click [Network adapters] and double-click [(Network Adapter Name)].
The [(Network Adapter Name) Properties] appears.

3. Click the [Driver] tab and click [Update Driver...].
The [Hardware Update Wizard] appears.
4. Select the [Install from a list or specific location(Advanced)] radio button and
click [Next].
5. Select the [Search for the best driver in these locations] radio button and check
off the [Search removable media (floppy, CD-ROM...)] check box.
6. Check the [Include this location in the search] check box and specify a path.
Click [Next].
7. Click [Finish].

Adapter Fault Tolerance (AFT)/Adaptive Load Balancing (ALB)

Adapter Fault Tolerance (AFT) is a feature that creates a group containing more than
one adapter and automatically converts the process of the working adapter to the other
adapter in the group when any trouble occurred on that adapter.
